@libenchao Thank you for tracking the PR. Yeah I have made the changes for addressing review comments.I added the test case which reproduces the issue mentioned in CALCITE-5716. Please review it and let me know. The if check which was done to safeguard against possible regressions is removed because with that check in place it will not fix CALCITE-5716.
