That sounds good to me conceptually. I agree this approach seems simpler from an operational standpoint, compared to deploying the new version of the operator in a different namespace. Practically, I just worry the flexibility labels provides could prove difficult to control / reason about, unless we find a mechanism to enforce our (yet emergent 😃) multi-tenancy model. On the topic, I imagine we will have to revisit the Lease that is responsible for locking the entire namespace, and that was originally designed for the operator HA. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
