Thanks @oscerd and @scholzj. After some thought, we've decided to use keys instead of the service account role. The process of using service account role was too complicated and we couldn't get it work. Couple of quick questions before I close out this issue : 1. We're planning on setting up a script to rotate keys in the Kafka Connect pod. During the process of rotating the keys, what happens to the Kafka Connect pod? Will it just restart? 2. I was planning on creating a feature request (or documentation request/example) for using service accounts instead of the default EKS role for Kafka connectors.
