# Description Closes CAMEL-21889 which implements proposal in https://github.com/apache/camel/blob/main/proposals/mdc.adoc With this in place, the user will have just to provide the component in the pom and additionally the `camel.mdc.enabled=true` (plus eventually other configuration still wip). Then he can show the MDC information via regular logging variables (ie, in log4j, `%X{exchangeID}`). The PR is still draft, here to collect early feedback.
