Yeah the end marked must be unique - its the flip of the beginning marker.
Matching brackets is complex as the tokenizer can't do that easily - you can
use `}` in other places / comments and whatnot
Ad 2)
Its on purpose to make those local variables easier to use
Ad 3)
That is on purpose so the variables can be used later
