# Description Deprecates Pipe (`kind: Pipe`, formerly `KameletBinding`) support in the YAML DSL, as discussed in CAMEL-24807. Changes: - Log a deprecation WARN in `YamlRoutesBuilderLoader` when a Pipe file is loaded, pointing users to write a plain route instead. - Mark `preConfigurePipe` as `@Deprecated`, and add a note on the `pipe.yaml` supported extension. - Document the deprecation on the YAML DSL page and in the 4.23 upgrade guide, with an example of the equivalent plain route. The `.pipe.yaml` extension is left in place (only marked deprecated via a comment, since it's an array element) so existing Pipe files continue to load, with the warning.
