Croway opened a new pull request, #27511: URL: https://github.com/apache/camel/pull/27511
Found while running LLM evals of agents that use the Camel MCP server: the tool input schemas forced the agent to supply arguments the tools document as optional, and an agent with no platform BOM sent an empty one. - **Optional arguments**: 42 tool arguments whose description says they are optional or have a default (`(optional)`, `(default: ...)`) were declared required, so the input schema lists them as mandatory. They are now `required = false`; each one was checked to be handled when absent (null checks, defaults, null-safe helpers). - **`camel_runtime_memory_leak`**: `mode` is documented as `dual (default)`, but an omitted mode ran a single recording. An omitted or blank mode is now dual. - **`platformBom` with the main runtime**: only an `org.apache.camel` GAV selects a Camel version for main. A Spring Boot or Quarkus platform BOM, or a value that is not a GAV (`none`, `n/a`), is now ignored instead of failing with `platformBom must be in GAV format`. Other runtimes still reject a malformed GAV. `CatalogServiceTest` covers the new BOM behaviour; the `camel-jbang-mcp` tests pass (435). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
