new 37c3970e453c CAMEL-25504: camel-jta, camel-spring - Do not roll back
transactions that complete during a graceful shutdown
37c3970e453c is described below
commit 37c3970e453cd37051f15b6c78bbbaa4b6f80d36
Author: allthingssecurity <[email protected]>
AuthorDate: Sat Oct 10 12:40:27 2026 +0530
CAMEL-25504: camel-jta, camel-spring - Do not roll back transactions that
complete during a graceful shutdown
DefaultShutdownStrategy calls prepareShutdown(forced=false) on the route
services before it waits for the in-flight exchanges, and
prepareShutdown(forced=true) only once the shutdown timeout has expired.
Since CAMEL-23234 the camel-jta and camel-spring TransactionErrorHandler
marked every exchange that finished while preparingShutdown was set as
rollback only, so a transacted exchange that completed normally inside
the grace period of a graceful shutdown was rolled back instead of
committed, while a caller that does not redeliver saw success.
Both handlers now have a forcedShutdown flag, set by prepareShutdown only
when forced is true and reset on start and resume, and the check after
the route work reads it. The CAMEL-23234 behaviour on timeout is
unchanged. With shutdownNowOnTimeout=false there is no forced
prepareShutdown, so an exchange that completes after the timeout is
committed again, as before 4.19.
Closes #27637
