javac spent about 21s of the roughly 23s compile time of camel-util (locally; on Jenkins Ubuntu 39s, on Jenkins ppc64le 5') on ArtifactUtils alone. The generated tables use Map.ofEntries(Map.entry(...), ...) with hundreds of entries, and javac has to infer every nested generic Map.entry call together with the outer call, which grows far faster than linearly with the number of entries. Use an explicit type witness, Map.<String, String> entry(...), on each entry so the type arguments are known up front and need no inference. The generator (UpdateArtifactHelper) now emits the witness and ArtifactUtils was regenerated. Local measurement, mvn -o clean compile -Dquickly on core/camel-util: before about 22.8s, after about 2.1s. Note that this compile phase is called 2 times see https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-25967 for more details on this part), so the gain is double than what is reported here. In this case your pull request should address just this issue, without pulling in other changes. --> # Apache Camel coding standards and style - [ ] I checked that each commit in the pull request has a meaningful subject line and body. <!-- If you're unsure, you can format the pull request title like `[CAMEL-XXX] Fixes bug in camel-file component`, where you replace `CAMEL-XXX` with the appropriate JIRA issue. --> - [ ] I have run `mvn clean install -DskipTests` locally from root folder and I have committed all auto-generated changes. <!-- You can run the aforementioned command in your module so that the build auto-formats your code. This will also be verified as part of the checks and your PR may be rejected if if there are uncommited changes after running `mvn clean install -DskipTests`.
