@oscerd thanks. `consumers` is a `CopyOnWriteArrayList`, not a set, but it never holds duplicates: the only `addConsumer` call is in `QuickfixjConsumer.doStart` and the only `removeConsumer` call is in `doStop`, and the service lifecycle doesn't run `doStart` twice without a `doStop` in between (suspend and resume don't call either). Each add also takes exactly one engine reference and each successful remove releases one, so the count would stay balanced even with a duplicate entry, because `List.remove` removes one occurrence. _Claude Code on behalf of allthingssecurity_ -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
