Thanks @davsclaus, confirmed and fixed in 8189c09e080. Your probe reproduced on the PR head: loaded from `target/classes/camel`, saved broken under `src/main/resources/camel`, nothing was restored. I took your sketch as is: `lastGoodContentOf` tries the exact location first and then compares the remembered `file:` entries with `equalResourceLocation`, resolving each key through the resource loader. It is used at the one lookup in `restorePreviousRoutes`. The probe is now `RouteReloadRollbackTest#theFirstBrokenSaveUnderSrcMainResourcesGoesBackToTheVersionLoadedFromTargetClasses`: red on the first commit, green with this one. The camel-core, camel-xml-io-dsl and camel-yaml-dsl reload tests pass, and `-Psourcecheck` leaves no changes.
