URL: https://github.com/apache/camel/pull/29084
In the JPA component, query parameters can be passed either through the
endpoint URI option `parameters` or via the `CamelJpaParameters` header map.
Previously, string values in the `CamelJpaParameters` header map were
evaluated as Simple expressions by the JPA producer.
This change ensures that query parameters supplied in the
`CamelJpaParameters` header map are bound directly as literal parameter values
without expression evaluation. The endpoint URI option `parameters` continues
to support Simple expression evaluation for route-configured parameters.
## Changes
- In `JpaProducer.configureParameters()`, separated endpoint parameters from
header parameters so that `CamelJpaParameters` values are set directly via
`query.setParameter(key, value)`.
- Updated description for `JPA_PARAMETERS_HEADER` in `JpaConstants` and
regenerated component metadata and catalog descriptors.
- Added an entry in the Camel 4.24 upgrade guide.
## Tests
Updated `JpaProducerWithQueryParametersHeaderTest` to verify that string
values in `CamelJpaParameters` containing expressions like `${body}` are bound
literally and match records containing that literal string instead of
evaluating against the exchange body.
All 124 tests in `camel-jpa` pass cleanly.
## Documentation
Documented under the Camel 4.24 migration notes in
`docs/user-manual/modules/ROOT/pages/camel-4x-upgrade-guide-4_24.adoc`.
