🔍 **Nit:** This single-arg overload is dead code — no caller in production
or test code uses `openInputStream(FileRange)`. The only call site in
`DataLakeFileOperations` passes both range and conditions:
`openInputStream(fileRange, requestConditions)`. Remove it.
