Thanks for the analysis, and sorry this stayed open. As you found, the problem was in the Camel MongoDB component; it was fixed in Camel 3.11.0 (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-16716) and shipped in camel-kafka-connector 0.11.0. In 4.22.x the replacement is camel-mongodb-changes-stream-source-kafka-connector, which exposes the filter as `camel.kamelet.mongodb-changes-stream-source.streamFilter` and passes it to the endpoint's `streamFilter` option: https://camel.apache.org/camel-kafka-connector/next/reference/connectors/camel-mongodb-changes-stream-source-kafka-source-connector.html.
