@gnodet thanks, the jitter is added: the delay before the failed records are sent again is now 100, 200 and 400 ms plus a random part of up to a quarter of it, so that producers throttled on the same shard do not all send again at the same time. `retryDelayDoublesAndHasARandomPart` checks the bounds and that the delay varies.
