Sorry this never got picked up. The HDFS connector this example was meant for no longer exists: Apache Camel removed the camel-hdfs component in 4.4 and camel-hdfs-kafka-connector was removed in camel-kafka-connector 4.4.2 (#1581), so there is no 4.22.x connector to write this example for.
