# Why
Casbin is an Apache Incubator podling (entered incubation 2026-02-07). As an
incubating project, every repository under the apache org must carry a
DISCLAIMER (incubation status statement) and a NOTICE (copyright notice) at the
repository root. casbin-typeorm-adapter currently lacks both files, which is a
compliance gap.
# What changed
- Added DISCLAIMER: the standard incubation disclaimer text, byte-identical
to the already-compliant repos (e.g. casbin-sqlx-adapter), including CRLF line
endings.
- Added NOTICE: copyright notice modeled on the merged casbin-sqlx-adapter
version, but with the copyright start year set to the earliest commit year of
THIS repository (2018, first commit 2018-10-16), not copied from sqlx's 2020.
# Verification
- diff confirms typeorm's DISCLAIMER is byte-identical (including line
endings) to the merged sqlx version.
- NOTICE differs from sqlx only in the start year (2018 vs 2020).
- Single commit: docs: add DISCLAIMER and NOTICE for Apache compliance (same
convention as sqlx #114 and django-orm-adapter).
- Local verification (yarn, after npm install):
lint: passed (eslint src/**/*.{ts,js,jsx})
build: passed (rimraf lib && tsc)
test: 4 suites / 4 tests passed (jest --runInBand, better-sqlite3
in-memory DB when no MySQL env vars are set)
git status clean; dependencies and build artifacts are gitignored, commit
not polluted
