Manish, this looks pretty reasonable to me. However, I wonder if it wouldn't be 
best to make the chowns in postinst conditional, so that they only occur on 
upgrades from <= 0.6.2, or on fresh installs. That way if someone does hack the 
init script to run cassandra as a different user, their permissions aren't 
clobbered on each subsequent upgrade.
