I'm not sure that this is bug maybe it is my fault but when I try to run 
Cassandra using bin\cassandra -f my system returns "Path not found message". 
When i comment ECHO OFF from cassandra.bat I have seen that last line of output 
contains 
".8.jar";"D:\Cassandra\bin\..\lib\slf4j-log4j12-1.5.8.jar";"D:\Cassandra\bin\..\build\classes"
 "org.apache.cassandra.thrift.CassandraDaemon""
D:\Cassandra is my cassandra root directory. Directory 
"D:\Casandra\build\classes\org\apache\cassandra\thrift" contains 
CassandraDaemon.class, CassandraDaemon$1.class, CassandraDaemon$2.class files.
