Jon Hermes commented on CASSANDRA-1388:
---------------------------------------
Actually, this is not as useful as it sounds and may just be complicating
things heavily.
What are the use-cases for different column validators across a SCF? Is it okay
to have colX in scA be of a different type than colX in scB? That looks more
like a code smell than a purposeful design pattern.

> Currently, column_metadata, such as index_type and validator_class can only
> be specified for columns in a standard ColumnFamiliy. This needs to also be
> available for standard columns within a SuperColumnFamily.
