2.1 looks good - committed. [~PuerTea]: since development focus has shifted to
the 2.1 and 3.0 branches at this point, I'm of a mind to hold off on switching
out the libraries required to get C* to compile under jdk8 on the 2.0 branch
unless there's a big push for it.
