+1 to ComparableObjectToken - AbstractToken framed things quite differently for 
me than how you've clarified here.

I'm w/Aleksey - we can pursue Token as an interface (or some other alternative) 
in 3.0 as this should be a low-risk win for us right now without adding too 
much complexity.  I wouldn't sweat the generation of #'s too much right now - 
clarifying the structure and standard confirmation there's no regression is 
enough for me.
