I'm afraid at the moment this ticket is going to see very little TLC. We're
coming up to 3.0 release, and after that are collectively switching mode to
improve the aggregate QA on the project, to support our new development and
release processes. If you want to propose a patch and corroborate there are no
resultant performance regressions for Linux or Windows, I'd be happy to review
the work and QA you provide, and we could perhaps arrange for access to our
performance test clusters for corroborating Linux performance does not regress,
at least.
