Eric, I think you only had to ad lib the init script part right? That would be
because of CASSANDRA-1823. The patch there should be pretty uncontroversial
and also contains an update to use a redhat specific cassandra.in.sh which
correctly sets the conf variable so the the tool commands run correctly.
If possible I would apply that patch as well and then this patch would apply
cleanly to 0.7
