Right now, it is doing the max instead of min, but I think that I had gotten
them mixed up, so I'll make sure it is correct.
TTL expiration is automatic, as they are known from the update, and are just
included with the MV update. The discussion was on how, after a TTL expires
*and* we are persisting {{null}} values, it should be handled.
