Have you measured it having any effect?
Under normal operation, your should almost never have any batchlog entries
hitting disk (except as commit log entries) - memtable flushing has special
cased code for just that.
And in 3.0 even less so, with explicit compaction at the end thrown out with
CASSANDRA-7237, and no more full scanning.
