LGTM but I am not really familiar with this part of the code.
One nit:
- imports in AbstractFunctionSelector are out of order
Tests look good, a couple of failing compactions utests in 3.0 but they pass
locally and are unrelated. _counter_tests.TestCounters.upgrade_test_ in 3.0
dtests is also unrelated (CASSANDRA-10109).
