Sylvain Lebresne commented on CASSANDRA-10488:
----------------------------------------------
bq. I can't find anything documented in NEWS about what 2.1.X -> 2.2.Y upgrades
are supported. (I can file a new ticket upon request.)
Yes, it's something we should do a better job at documenting for new releases.
That said, I have no clue what actual version we support upgrade from when
upgrading to 2.2 so maybe it's worth a separate ticket to dig that out.
> Document supported upgrade paths to 3.0 in NEWS.txt

> Due to CASSANDRA-9849, we only support upgrading to 3.0 from 2.1.9+ or
> 2.2.1+. This needs to be documented in the "Upgrading" section of NEWS.txt.
> (There might have been other forward-compatibility changes in 2.1 or 2.2 that
> I missed in later releases.)
