So the problem I've found with this and simple_test are that the mutations ARE 
being sent to the correct nodes, we just aren't seeing the "Appending to the 
commitlog" message for every replica in the trace. I've tried fiddling with the 
commitlog settings, but that didn't help. If I add a lot of waits, it makes the 
test pass reliably. This implies to me that there is a problem with fetching 
the trace, as we are only grabbing a subset, rather than actual messages being 
absent. It's as yet unclear if the test is wrong, or if there is a driver/C* 
bug.
