Jim Witschey created CASSANDRA-11186:
----------------------------------------

             Summary: map_keys_indexing_test failing on multiple upgrade paths
                 Key: CASSANDRA-11186
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-11186
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Jim Witschey
            Assignee: DS Test Eng

The following tests:

{code}
upgrade_tests/cql_tests.py:TestCQLNodes3RF3_2_1_HEAD_UpTo_2_2.map_keys_indexing_test
upgrade_tests/cql_tests.py:TestCQLNodes2RF1_2_1_UpTo_2_2_HEAD.map_keys_indexing_test
upgrade_tests/cql_tests.py:TestCQLNodes3RF3_2_1_UpTo_2_2_HEAD.map_keys_indexing_test
upgrade_tests/cql_tests.py:TestCQLNodes2RF1_2_1_HEAD_UpTo_2_2.map_keys_indexing_test
{code}

fail on CassCI with the error

{code}
code=2200 [Invalid query] message="Cannot create index on values(m): an index
on keys(m) already exists and indexing a map on more than one dimension at the
same time is not currently supported"
{code}

So, it looks like these tests are trying to create indexes on earlier versions
than the tested behavior is supported. I think the thing to do is check during
the test to see what version the nodes are running, and skip the test if we're
running too early a version.
