Committing to 3.5 is fine with me. I'm not sure if this requires committing to
3.0.5 as well, so I prepared all 3 patches and started CI on all of them:

There is a conflict from 3.0 to 3.5 whilst the 3.5 patch applies cleanly to
trunk. If you decide to commit only to 3.5 or trunk, then you should change
CHANGES.txt. CI results are still pending.
