Sorry about the lag in responsiveness on my part. The idea was that if you set
it to 2x, then you could potentially have 2x in-flight requests being kept in
memory on the server in cases where requests get queued up. I think that's not
immediately obvious to people who increase it to just avoid client-side
timeouts.
