The problem was caused by
[11137|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-11137], I've opened a
[PR to dtest|https://github.com/riptano/cassandra-dtest/pull/955] that would
fix inconsistencies between 3.0 (/2.2) and 3.6.
