[~jjordan] Only very briefly but my suspection so far is that it is actually a 
race in cqlsh where two multiple threads write to the same connection 
concurrently. Like one writes and the second starts to write as well before the 
first is complete. Could this be possible ? This would also explain why a sleep 
may "workaround" this.
