Got it. JAVA_HOME was overriding my root java binary and still running the old
version so it was working locally.
Looks like I originally had us doing a lexicographical comparison on version
#'s so it worked right up until we hit 100. Patch attached to split out
subversion and compare that numerically while still comparing the major version
(1.8.0) lexicographically.
