Creating the tarball by running {{ant artifacts}} will create a snapshot file,
e.g. {{build/apache-cassandra-2.2.10-SNAPSHOT-src.tar.gz}}, while rpmbuild is
looking for {{build/apache-cassandra-2.2.10-src.tar.gz}}. In that case ant
should be called as {{ant artifacts -Drelease=true}}.
Building RPMs for snapshots also requires other changes and some efforts on
that went into CASSANDRA-13487. [[email protected]], if you have any
feedback or suggestions related to the RPM packaging, as implemented in the
mentioned ticket, that would be much appreciated.
