Thanks for the review and the rebase. I've updated my 3.0
[branch|https://github.com/stef1927/cassandra/commits/12014-simplified-3.0]
with the rebased code. The CI results don't look too good, there are several
dtest failures and the unit tests did not run. I've launched CI on our servers
for 3.0. I'll merge to 3.0, 3.11 and trunk once I have the results. I don't
expect any problems but just in case.
