Description: There are some Closables that aren't being closed. (was: We
don't seem to need this prefix. Saves 4 bytes per parameter and quite a bit of
garbage per parameter. This also incidentally fixes an eclipse static analysis
warning. If the length needs to be known then individual parameters can add the
prefix themselves for whatever they want to serialize.
Obviously pre-4.0 nodes will continue to use it.)
