I didn't realise that, above when I suggested to the default of
{{diagnostic_events_enabled: false}} I was contradicting [~jasobrown]'s

in the parent ticket. Jason, how do you feel about this? The suggestion was
about stability of the code/feature, as opposed to impact of the feature
running.
