[~mulugetam] this looks like a potentially valuable patch, but unfortunately
this falls unambiguously into the category of "New Feature" - which means it
falls outside of the present feature freeze as we work on stability for a 4.0
release. Just want to prepare you for the fact we may not get to merge this
for several months, but that doesn't mean the community is disinterested.
