David Capwell commented on CASSANDRA-15567:
-------------------------------------------
{code}
export EXTRA_CLASSPATH=/tmp/foo
./bin/cassandra -f
{code}
Then
{code}
cat /proc/292/cmdline | strings
{code}
I see
{code}
/tmp/foo:./bin/../lib/jsr223/*/*.jar
{code}
Is there a reason EXTRA_CLASSPATH should be before the other overrides? Kinda
feel it should be after, but I guess I should go look at the packaging.
> Allow EXTRA_CLASSPATH to work in tarball/source installations

> Both the debian and redhat packaging modify cassandra.in.sh to support the
> EXTRA_CLASSPATH variable. It would be nice to just put this in
> cassandra.in.sh proper so people without a package installation can use it as
> well.
