Ok so after some investigation by a git master friend of mine... That is a
merge commit. When you click on GH on the commit if shows you the _diff_ with
the topmost parent, hence we get the right code. When you append '.patch' you
get the patch for that _commit_, not for the _diff_ as you were seeing before.
So... not nice GH, not nice...
