Michael Semb Wever commented on CASSANDRA-15580:
------------------------------------------------
bq. you've been spending quite some time on the project CI lately, so your
input on what can/cannot be done there would be much appreciated.
I try and spend as little time as possible on it, and it is there for anyone to
get involved and/or take over.
ci-cassandra.a.o is scalable, so Harry/Fallout/what-ever jobs can be added and
run there of course. Currently all agents are 32GB RAM servers that have two
executors, so a job is expected to be stable within a ~15GB RAM container… Not
only can it scale by adding more agents (servers) if need be, but we can add
bigger servers and label them differently so they are reserved for specific
types of jobs (e.g. Harry/Fallout/what-ever), though one thing I have witnessed
is that jobs that run for more than 24 hours are problematic on the CloudBees
platform that ci-cassandra.a.o runs on.

> We aim for 4.0 to have the first fully functioning incremental repair
> solution (CASSANDRA-9143)! Furthermore we aim to verify that all types of
> repair: (full range, sub range, incremental) function as expected as well as
> ensuring community tools such as Reaper work. CASSANDRA-3200 adds an
> experimental option to reduce the amount of data streamed during repair, we
> should write more tests and see how it works with big nodes.
