Adam Holmberg commented on CASSANDRA-16240:
-------------------------------------------

Got it. Thanks.

That is indeed why the identifier is being quoted by the driver. The good thing
is, although it might be a little surprising to a user, it should be harmless.
It's only quoted in the output of schema DDL created from schema metadata.
Referring to it in CQL statements without quotes should. work just fine.
[~AnujKulkarni] do I have it right that there is no functional impact of this?

If we are concerned about this, someone could take a stab at making the driver
keywords dynamic depending on the server to which it's connected.

> Whenever I try to create a table with name profiles, it always gets created
> with additional quotes surrounding it. Attaching the screenshot.
> I am on Cassandra 3.7
> I tried creating the table in another keyspace. I also tried creating new
> virtual machines with the same AMI and same Cassandra version, but to no
> avail.
> If I try to create a table with any other name, there are no issues at all.
> It's just with the name profiles.
> I am on Ubuntu 18.04 by the way.
