[~samt] thanks for the detailed explanation! Virtual tables sound like a full
re-work, but it is not a problem at all. It is a good chance to get familiar
with them! I'll need some time to understand the details around virtual tables
and the way to use them for caches. -If- Once I have some question, I'll get
back to you. In the meantime, I'll move the ticket back to "IN PROGRESS".
