I have a WIP jvm dtest
[here|https://github.com/driftx/cassandra/tree/CASSANDRA-16799] but I don't
think it works. Or more specifically, it always passes, but there are clearly
errors during the writes which don't seem to bubble up, yet somehow the
assertions pass.
