I want to explain myself fully because I feel like something in missing.
Initially, I also had doubts if it should go to 4.0.x but if one looks at it,
the thing is this should be already removed since 4.0.0, included. We just
havent done it but we claimed we dont support Windows anymore (right?). Now we
are just cleaning it up. If we said that we dont support Windows since 4.0, a
user should not run that on Windows even the code is still there. Hence I dont
see any excuse why it should be in 4.0.x still ...
