[~subkanthi] if I were you I would put the revert of 17029 into it's own commit
in the PR, then complete the PR with what Benjamin and Brandon mention it's
missing. But feel free to take whatever route fits you best. Let me know if
it's not clear and I can give it a go if you don't mind.
