we already have Dropwizard metrics module pre-integrated. I wrote about it on
my GitHub :

we should have a feature where Cassandra Dropwizard module can directly write
these metrics into Prometheus format.
then we can feed those metrics directly to Prometheus for metrics collection.
we do not have to expose this as a webservice - instead of writing just metrics
in plain text ... it should write in Prometheus format into a file on each
server.
