Ekaterina Dimitrova commented on CASSANDRA-17871:
-------------------------------------------------
Code-wise it LGTM, I had hard time to test it locally on my Mac as I am not a
paid docker user... and my vm bumped me with thousand request for installations
and blockers.
According to the first comment in this ticket there should be a way to hack
cassandra-builds and be able to test all the patches and the image from
CASSANDRA-17854 but I don't know how.
I can follow up with [~mck] on Monday how to do it. I think this will be the
most clean way to test that we didn't break anything testing your patch from
CASSANDRA-17854, the patch here and the new image.
For completeness, I mean this {color:#0052cc}+branch for+{color} covering all
your cassandra-builds changes and the last image I built for testing is

> We are updating the buster docker image used to build debian packages to
> bullseye (which is probably a bit overdue) in CASSANDRA-17854 Package build
> dependencies for versions using python2 need to be updated for this to work.
